Art at Daryagunj

This Sunday began with an unusually heavy down pour. The trees, streets and buildings were clean and bright and the light was beautiful. S and I decided to go to Daryagunj - every sunday with shops closed the pavement in this busy old Delhi area is used as a temporary market of old books.

I like going there to observe the arrangement of objects apart from some the books. Keri Smith in her book, "How to be an explorer of the world" mentions that the Indo - European root of the word "Art" is "to arrange"or "fit together".

Today i decided to not to buy any books just look around and bring back some of the arrangements instead.
